As a developer and technologist, here is a list of my observations that I’ve made over the past several months as AI has dramatically changed the world I live in.
- AI allows you to spend time on creation, rather than implementation. So much of my time was spent getting code written to do what I want. Now I can spend much more time pondering what I really do want.
- AI dramatically increases the velocity at which a software craftsman can create new and wonderful things. AI dramatically increases the velocity at which a hack can create garbage.
- So much information and analysis is available at my fingertips. Anything and everything that would have taken several online searches and consideration are done with a single query to ChatGPT.
